Invest in the Lives of Those Who Are Hurting
Life throws us all curveballs, some more painful and challenging than others. What often makes the impact easier to bear is having someone to walk beside us as we navigate the uncertainties in the seasons that follow. We created the Smart Living in Small Bites guidebook series to do just that: offer a comforting presence and hope for women struck by unexpected circumstances.
Each guidebook in the series—covering topics ranging from sexual abuse, marriage troubles, suicide, infertility, single motherhood and more—is penned by a writer who has walked through those same circumstances and come out on the other side fueled with a renewed sense of strength and hope. In the books, these writers recount their journeys and share encouragement and hard-earned wisdom for others who are just beginning theirs.
These women aren’t the only ones who need support. As a primarily volunteer-driven 501(c)3 nonprofit, we need a dedicated community to partner with us and provide financial support to get these resources into the hands of those who need them. Your support will offer a hopeful future for those finding themselves in the midst of heartbreak.
We wrote the books we wish we had when we faced challenges.

Let's Answer Your Questions
How will you allocate funds?
Since its inception, The Grit and Grace Project, with a few exceptions, has been primarily staffed by unpaid positions and volunteers. But now, our organization is set to launch its most ambitious project yet: a book series titled Smart Living in Small Bites. This project will require more resources than we currently have available to us.
To grow this platform and expand our reach, we need to add another paid staff member, hire an outside PR firm, and create a significant marketing budget to get these books into the hands of the women who need them.
How does this book series fit into The Grit and Grace Project's mission?
What will happen without my donation and support?
Many resources are written on the subjects we address, but very few provide a step-by-step guide from a writer who has lived them or the space for readers to unpack the stories, emotions, and problems they face within the journaling pages of each book. This series is a partnership between the writer and reader that is unique to our project.
The writers of these books were once at a place in their lives where they wished they had someone to walk beside them—someone who had experienced the same hurt and could lovingly share the tools that helped them endure.
Not publishing this series would leave many feeling like they are alone—invisible and unsupported. Instead, we have the opportunity to transform lives through this series and the specific help we are able to offer.
