My Thoughts on Maybelline Color Tattoo Concentrated Crayon

My Thoughts on Maybelline Color Tattoo Concentrated Crayon

Today I’m looking at Maybelline Color Tattoo Concentrated Crayon in 705 Pink Parfait. This is a creamy, super pigmented, convenient stick format of eye shadow.

Sometimes I have an annoying allergic reaction to pink eyeshadows. My eyelids turn red, puffy, itchy, and kind of scaly. Once this happens I have to go without makeup for about four days for every day that I wore the pink offender. People that have this problem are often affected by purple eyeshadows too, but I don’t seem to have that problem. And … I don’t always have it with pinks. I’ve been told that the reason this happens is because of an allergic reaction to the crushed up shellfish in the product, or to the red dye in the makeup. I’m not sure what it is … but I don’t like it!

I tried the Maybelline Color Tattoo Concentrated Crayon in color 705 Pink Parfait, and I did have a reaction to this one. Ugh! I was hoping for an easy application for low maintenance makeup days in a light and pretty color. The good news is that it is an easy application and it is a pretty color for those who don’t have allergic reactions. It is quite sheer, but kind of an iridescent, pink sheer color. I did find it to be long-wearing for me. It was not, “Oh my gosh! I love that!” but, good enough to make me consider it again. If I would wear it again. Which I won’t. But, you should try it if you aren’t allergic to pink eyeshadow. This might be a good highlighter for under the brow bone, too. If your skin is more mature you might want to go light on application as you may get that creepy look we don’t want.

I give Maybelline Color Tattoo Concentrated Crayon in color 705 Pink Parfait a 0 out of 5 for me personally because of my allergic reaction, but for others without allergies, I give this a 3 out of 5. I think this will be a love it or hate it for people.
