Sherry received her Bachelor of Science from Grace University in Human Development and Family Studies, and her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from the University of Nebraska Omaha. She is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Professional.
Sherry enjoys working with all ages of clients from children to adults. She uses (CBT) Cognitive Behavior Therapy that is an evidence-based practice. Her passion is to help strengthen individuals and families to enjoy life to its fullest. She is an advocate for children and has helped families adjust to new situations through various losses, such as divorce. Sherry is highly effective in helping individuals with anxiety and depression.
Experience: Lay counselor at Christ Community Church for 10 years. Internship completed at UNMC in the psychology department with children and adolescence. Employment at Omni Behavior Health (eating disorders). University of Nebraska Medical Center in the feeding disorders and autism department. As a therapist, she started at A Better Way Therapy. Currently, she has a private practice in Omaha, NE. She is also a part of the Emergency Response Team for her church.
She is married to her husband Jeff and has three grown children and two grandchildren.
