You Need These 5 Things From Chip & Jo’s Hearth & Hand
As Fixer Upper reveals its final season, we shed a tear and smile with all the memories shared and tips learned from the reigning farmhouse king and queen, Chip and Joanna Gaines. HGTV sucked me in as a pre-teen and I’ve done my fair share of binging on homes being transformed into perfection by talented individuals (back when you had to catch a marathon), but the Gaines are different. Not only do they captivate us with a renovation to reveal, but with their personalities and honesty as well—and now they’ve topped our wildest dreams by creating a home and lifestyle brand exclusively for Target! In honor of their new line, Hearth & Hand, and the 5th and final season of Fixer Upper, we’re sharing what it is about the Gaines duo that we just adore.
They’re genuine. When a couple doesn’t hide behind fame or their talents, but rather embraces their true selves, together or separate, regardless of cameras, we notice. We love seeing bits of their family life in their own home and the way they communicate through their talents.
We see ourselves in them. When Joanna rolls her eyes at Chip’s goofy jokes, or when she trusts him with a passionate idea for a coffee bar (not with out a little pushback), we can feel the moments we’ve done the same with our men.
They don’t set aside their faith for entertainment. It’s an admirable thing that the couple’s Christianity is no secret. They are unashamed and led by their beliefs, and this truly is what makes them different. They love to serve and give back more as they grow and expand, and we appreciate that about them.
They know their priorities. Fixer Upper is coming to a close because Chip and Joanna want to rest and they want to have maximum quality time with their kiddos. Who doesn’t want that? But, who would give up a show for it? People who know in their hearts what matters. While they will also take this time to grow Magnolia, they make good decisions with thankful hearts hearts and express their gratitude, and, well, that’s refreshing!
They let us in on their style. We’re not left to search through antique stores (unless we’re lucky enough to live in the south) or sit in envy of what Joanna has masterfully done in a Waco home. The Magnolia Market and The Silos are full of perfectly picked items. While they may not be at everyone’s price point or location (Silobration = bucket list), the Gaines have made the glorious decision to team up with Target and bring us Hearth & Hand, an affordable lifestyle line, now in all Target stores! The line will remain at Target and come out with new seasonal products, all at Target prices. For the cherry on top, purchases will give back to the Magnolia Foundation, established by Chip and Joanna.
I browsed pre-debut (Nov 5th) online and have now wandered through the aisles a few times to find my favorite products from Hearth & Hand, just in time for Christmas! (Disclaimer: this line is almost too wonderful to pick a few items, you’re going to have to check it out for yourself!)
Here are my top 5 must-have items from Hearth & Hand:
1. Brass Centerpiece. Simple and timeless, it can be filled with anything as the seasons change!
2. Family Pajamas. Because yes. Dog moms, don’t worry, the fur babies are not alone. There’s a pet bandana and bed that match the pjs.
3. Sugared Birch Candle. The perfect Christmas tree smell to get us in the spirit (hasn’t stopped burning in our home since last week). Comes in glass jars, metal containers, and pillars.
4. House Bud Vases. Too cute and also inter-seasonal. For now, they look great nestled within some garland or between some Christmas tree decor. They also come in black!
5. Coin purse & leather goods. A sucker for cognac leather and anything mini, this had to make the list. The Hearth & Hand leather products are soft and affordable, adding perfect little touches of style to your ensemble.
To the couple who has made our jaws drop, hearts relate, and our homes pretty, thank you.
