The Perfect Tank Top and How to Style It
I have staples in my closet, and then I have staples. You know what I’m talking about … those trusty pieces we all have and gravitate toward, wear on repeat, and purchase in every color possible. Well, I’ve recently discovered a new staple, and it’s the perfect tank top—the Free People LA Nite Tank. One of the best things about my new found staple is that it’s only $20.00.
This perfect tank is very flattering because it cuts in right below the shoulders, creating a slimming effect. It’s also very lightweight and breezy—you won’t give a second thought to it. The LA Nite Tank has a bit of flow at the bottom, so it gives good coverage for those who don’t like tightness across the midsection. Although it’s always a good idea to try on clothing before purchasing, this tank top fits true to size for most women.
Another perk to this perfect tank is that it comes in an array of colors to choose from. One fall outfit suggestion is to pair any color of this top with a black leather jacket, a long necklace, distressed denim, and booties. You can also wear these tanks with plaid button-downs, kimonos, cardigans, and sweaters if extra coverage is desired.
I like to front-tuck my perfect tanks into my jeans or skirt. All you do is take enough of the fabric in the bottom center of the tank and tuck it into the front of your bottoms so the button of your jeans or a small section of the waistband of your bottoms is showing. The sides will drape nicely around the front-tuck. This front-tuck is a simple trick to creating a more put-together look and defining your waistline.
Since this perfect tank uniquely cuts in below the shoulders, my favorite bra to wear with it is an adhesive bra. Otherwise, I’ve found that a regular strapless bra peeks out the sides. You can find an affordable adhesive bra at Target, Walmart, or even online at Amazon.
I encourage you to give this perfect tank a spin and see for yourself how comfy, stylish, and versatile it is!
