Karla Rogers recognized a kindred spirit in Fern Arable when she first read Charlotte’s Web in the first grade. She decided right then that anyone willing to stand up for a runt pig was her kind of person. Not much has changed.

A Southern writer with a curious mind, a fondness for the underdog, and a healthy appreciation for the absurdities of human nature, Karla has never been particularly good at accepting things simply because that’s the way they’ve always been.

Her faith in Jesus is the foundation of her life, although she’s the first to admit she’s still learning what it means to live it well. She writes about faith, life, and the sometimes uncomfortable lessons that come with both. Her personal blog, Things I’ve Learned, is proof that she hasn’t finished learning yet.
